SPEAKER INFORMATION

Session Guidelines
- All sessions are CPD accredited, so please ensure your presentation is educational and not a sales pitch. Logos must be kept to a minimum.
- Please arrive at your theatre 15 minutes before your session starts. A theatre host and AV technician will be available to assist with setup.
- You have 40 minutes for your session. We recommend presenting for 25–30 minutes and allowing 5–10 minutes for audience questions.

Technical Requirements
- Please bring your presentation on a USB memory stick if you are not presenting from your own laptop.
- If presenting from your own laptop, you may connect it directly in the theatre. Mac users should bring any required adapters or connection cables.
- All show laptops are pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 and Microsoft Office 365.
- All theatres are equipped with a lectern, screen and laptop.
- We do not provide adapter cords, so please bring your own if required.

Presentation & Equipment
- Supported video formats: WMV, MKV, MP4 and MOV.
- Presentations should be created in 16:9 aspect ratio with a maximum resolution of 1920 × 1080.
- If your presentation contains video or audio clips, ensure all files are saved with the presentation and embedded within PowerPoint. DVD and YouTube playback will not be available.
- Venue WiFi is available, but we strongly recommend having all content pre-loaded and not relying on an internet connection during your session.

Useful Tips
- Save any videos, audio, images and fonts into the same folder as your PowerPoint presentation. Please note they are NOT automatically saved within the presentation.
- Save your presentation in the following format – Speaker Name / Date / Presentation Theatre.
- Audio Video Interleave (AVI) is a generic term used by Microsoft to describe audio/video data stored on a computer. AVI files require a certain CODEC in order to run. We may need this CODEC in order for your AVI to work correctly on our computers.
- If your presentation was created on an Apple Mac computer, please ensure you save it in a Microsoft PC format with a .ppt suffix on a PC formatted disk or USB Memory Stick.
- Remove any settings that automatically advance your presentation slides.

Session Recordings
- All seminars at Accountex Summit Manchester will be recorded. This will allow attendees to catch up with sessions from the day they visit for a limited time (at no cost).
- These basic recordings will feature prominent sponsor branding so will not be suitable for use in speaker showreels. They are for educational purposes only and an added value benefit for attendees to Accountex Summit Manchester. We will not be selling these at all, or distributing them to anyone that does not visit the show.
- However, if you would like to pay for your session to be professionally recorded, you can contact our theatre videographer on the below details:
